Jammu-Srinagar National Highway cleared after mudslide, traffic flowing despite rain

Traffic on the vital Jammu-Srinagar National Highway 44 (NH-44) has resumed after a brief halt earlier today due to a mudslide near Dalwas in Ramban. According to the Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police Headquarters, traffic is currently flowing from both sides of the highway despite rainy weather conditions.

The advisory also highlights the closure of the Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri (SSG) road as reported by BEACON, the Border Roads Organisation responsible for maintaining the road.

While NH-44 appears to be recovering from the earlier mudslide, travelers should be prepared for delays due to weather conditions and the ongoing movement of nomads. They are also advised to check the latest traffic updates before embarking on their journeys.
