Indian Army organises “Shiksha Mela” at Khari

RAMBAN, JANUARY 16: In a move to promote education, the 23 Rashtriya Rifles (Rajput) unit organized an educational awareness program   “Shiksha Mela” at Higher Secondary School Khari, in district Ramban. The primary focus was to enlighten children, youth and students about the scholarships provided by the Indian Army for various academic levels.

The event, graced by Deputy Commissioner, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, saw him acknowledging the paramount role of education in youth development. He applauded the initiative by 23 RR, emphasizing that the education of youth is a pivotal force propelling overall development, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision. DC Ramban affirmed the administration’s unwavering commitment to realizing the Prime Minister’s vision.

Participating in the programme, Chairperson District Development, Ramban, Dr. Shamshad Shan, commended the Indian Army for inspiring students to pursue education and steering them away from societal vices.

Pertinently the awareness programme was attended by a gathering of around 500 including students and parents from various parts of Ramban district.

During the awareness program, the Indian Army’s crucial support took center stage. The session also shed light on existing beneficiary schemes, notably the impactful Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, highlighting the diverse forms of assistance accessible to the student.

Later a prize distribution ceremony was also held to felicitate the academic achievers.
