Lal Singh Arya addresses Press Conference at J&K BJP Headquarters
Jammu, 23 June 2025: Lal Singh Arya, National President of BJP SC Morcha, addressed a press conference at the Jammu & Kashmir BJP headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. He was accompanied by J&K BJP SC Morcha President Neelam Langeh, DDC Chairperson Bharat Bhushan, MLAs Prof. Gharu Ram Bhagat, Mohan Lal Bhagat, and other senior leaders.
Addressing the media, Arya briefed on the nationwide programmes being undertaken by the BJP in the month of June to mark the successful completion of 11 transformative years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He highlighted that today the party is also observing Balidan Diwas in memory of the great patriot Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookerjee, who laid down his life for national integration and unity.
Arya underscored the remarkable developmental journey of India in the last 11 years, citing infrastructure growth like new airports, AIIMS institutions, Vande Bharat trains, and the robust implementation of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas. He emphasized how Modi government policies have empowered farmers, youth, and women, and expanded welfare schemes like DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) and Gareeb Kalyan Yojana for the economically weaker sections.
He further said that India has emerged as the fourth largest economy and gained global recognition for its defense preparedness and diplomatic strength. The government provided exemplary service during the COVID-19 crisis, evacuated students from Iran and other war zones, and delivered strong responses to terrorism originating from Pakistan.
Arya also mentioned the progressive repeal of outdated laws and introduction of modern legislation for the benefit of common citizens. He said that under PM Modi, India is becoming Sashakt (strong) and Saksham (capable). Stressing on environmental responsibility, he promoted the party’s campaign ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ to encourage tree plantation as a tribute to mothers.
Arya also took a jibe at the opposition, accusing them of deceiving the public by holding copies of the Indian Constitution while having consistently undermined democratic values during their time in power. He urged the people to observe June 25, the day when then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi imposed the Emergency as a reminder of the assault on democracy, and to mark the day on a large scale to ensure that the nation never forgets that dark chapter.
He added that all these achievements are being disseminated to the grassroots through Mandal and Shakti Kendra level programmes and Chaupals across the country, ensuring public participation in India’s developmental journey.
Later, Lal Singh Arya participated in programme organized by MLA Dr. Rajiv Bhagat at Bishnah Assembly Constituency to observe the Balidan Diwas of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookherjee, who laid down his life in Jammu & Kashmir in the service to the nation and to the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
He also participated in a programme to observe the Balidan Diwas of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookherjee in Suchetgarh at Panchayat Halqa, which was organized by MLA Prof Gharu Ram Bhagat.
