Horticulture Deptt organizes Farmers Awareness/ Training programme under ATMA at Budgam

BUDGAM, February 15: Horticulture Department Budgam today organized one day farmers awareness cum training programme under Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Scheme.

The event witnessed active participation from farmers across the district, reflecting their keen interest in adopting modern agricultural practices and enhancing their farming capabilities.

The programme was meticulously designed to empower farmers with the latest insights and techniques, featuring a comprehensive agenda aimed at addressing various aspects of Horticulture sustainability and productivity.

Horticulture Development Officers and experts from the Krishi Vigyan Kendra Budgam delivered enlightening sessions covering a wide array of topics, including crop management, integrated pest management, soil health enhancement, and the adoption of innovative technologies.

During the programme, interactive field visit was also facilitated for the farmers to give them practical demonstrations and hands-on training, enabling them to gain firsthand experience in implementing advanced agricultural techniques effectively

The interactive question and answer sessions facilitated meaningful discussions, allowing farmers to seek clarification on doubts and exchange valuable insights with experts and fellow practitioners.

Participants were provided with informative pamphlets, booklets, and educational resources containing valuable guidelines and best practices for sustainable agriculture.
