Hardcore criminal Kapil Sharma alias “Jimmy” wanted in 17 FIRs, arrested in Bari Brahmana

In a major breakthrough, the Bari Brahmana police, under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahmana, arrested a notorious criminal named Kapil Sharma, alias Jimmy, on Monday, February 12th, 2024.

Jimmy, son of Kamal Sharma and resident of Chowadhi, Sainik Colony, Jammu, was apprehended in connection with FIR No. 11/2024 registered at the Bari Brahmana police station. This FIR alleged illegal confinement, violence, and fraud at a drug rehabilitation center in Birpur, Bari Brahmana.

The accused was absconding after the FIR was registered and subsequent rescue of 15 victims from the said center,” informed a police spokesperson. “Sustained efforts by the Bari Brahmana police team led by SHO Sumeet Sharma, PSI Nirmal Singh, and Sgct Tavinder Singh finally culminated in his arrest.

Investigations revealed that Jimmy was not only involved in the Birpur case but also faced charges in a staggering 17 other FIRs registered across Jammu and Samba districts. These cases reportedly involve serious offenses like attempt to murder, drug peddling, illegal weapon possession, and snatching.

This arrest signifies the Samba Police’s unwavering commitment to bringing criminals to justice and ensuring the safety of our citizens,” the spokesperson added.
