Ground impact of RDD schemes in Doda assessed

DODA, JUNE 20: The implementation and ground impact of the flagship rural development schemes and projects was reviewed today here at a meeting held in the meeting hall of Zila Gramin Vikas Bhawan.

Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Din Mohammad Affaqi chaired the  meeting attended by the Block Development Officers (BDOs), Junior Engineers (JEs), and Technical Assistants (TAs)  and others.

The key focus of the meeting was on assessing the progress achieved under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA). Detailed discussions were held regarding the timely generation of Project Demand (PDs), the status of Panchayats with NIL PDs, release of pending compensation, Aadhaar seeding of Job Card holders, ABPS (Aadhaar Based Payment System), and geo-tagging of works completed under Phase-III. The ACD also reviewed the quality and accuracy of SECURE estimations for the financial year 2025-26. Instructions were issued for streamlining the processes related to AS/TAs, addressing cost anomalies, expediting pending work Action Taken Reports (ATRs), and enhancing Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) activities under MGNREGA.

The meeting further reviewed the implementation status of the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G). Officers were directed to prioritize the verification of survey and MIS data, fast-track completion of pending houses, resolve defaulting cases, and submit timely updates.
