GMS Ramgarh Students pledge to conserve Water

KATHUA, MARCH 04: In a significant move towards promoting water conservation, the “Har Ghar Jal” pledge taking ceremony was held in Government Middle School (GMS) Ramnagar.

Teachers Meena Sharma and Shailja Jasrotia, under the supervision of HOI   Shubhash Sharma read the pledge. Students were encouraged to pledge to save water and utilize it judiciously.

“Har Ghar Jal”, translating to “Water in Every Home”, is a crucial initiative that aims to inculcate the habit of water conservation among young minds.

The significance of this pledge lies in its potential impact, as it instills in students the understanding of the precious nature of water and the necessity of its judicious use.

Students responded positively to the initiative, committing to conserve water in their daily lives. One student remarked, “I’ve learned how important it is to save water. I will make sure to turn off the tap when I’m not using it.”

The teachers, Ms. Sharma and Ms. Jasrotia, expressed their satisfaction with the response from students. They emphasized the role of schools in shaping the habits and attitudes of the younger generation towards environmental conservation.

The “Har Ghar Jal” pledge not only promotes the conservation of water but also underscores the potential of schools as catalysts for change in our society. This initiative is an excellent example of how education can contribute to broader social and environmental goals.
