GDC Ramgarh hosts valedictory/Prize Distribution ceremony

SAMBA, October 28: Government Degree College Ramgarh organized a series of activities to mark the celebrations of J&K UT Foundation day, the valedictory function of which was held today. The event was organized by the College advisory Committee under the guidance and coordination of Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra, Principal of the College.

Tehsildar Ramgarh, Abhimanyu Kalsotra was the chief guest on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Abhimanyu Kalsotra said the day is aimed to celebrate the positive changes in Jammu and Kashmir since its transition to a Union Territory and the pace of developmental activities has taken to new heights. While highlighting the achievements over the years, in the education sector, said that  many revolutionary changes have been achieved which include the development of smart classes, laboratory facilities in schools, development of playgrounds, libraries, infrastructural changes, etc. He interacted with the students of the college and motivated them to choose the right career path based on their educational and professional choices. It is a qualitative and quantitative assessment of the knowledge, skills, information, and experience to identify career options available.

Principal of the College, Prof.(Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra, said that many developmental works in UT have been achieved without hurdles. Tremendous changes have taken place through which the people of J&K have access to vast opportunities as the UT is home to many high-potential resources. She further said that each citizen must participate in the celebration of the events with zeal and enthusiasm

All the winners of the Intra-College Competitions, viz. Photography, Videography, Painting and Essay writing Competition held to mark celebrations of JK UT foundation day were felicitated.

Faculty members and a large number of students were present on the occasion.
