GDC Ramgarh conducts Nasha Mukt Bharat promotion Campaign

SAMBA, FEBRUARY 23: The NSS Unit ‘Prabha’, of Government Degree College, Ramgarh, organized an awareness rally and a nukkad natak under the banner of the ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’ (NMBA).

The rally and natak were organised on day five of the ongoing ‘7 Days NSS Winter Camp’. This rally was conducted under the  guidance and leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra, the Principal of the College.

Speaking at the event, the College Principal said that ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’ intends to reach out to the masses and spread awareness about substance abuse through awareness generation programmes through higher education institutions, university campuses and schools. She congratulated the NSS Committee members for such initiatives.

Prof. Braham Dutt Sharma, NSS Programme Officer, briefed the participants about the proceedings of the event. He told the participants about the general traffic rules to be followed during the awareness rally. He also motivated students to always take part in such events aiming at social upliftment.

The awareness rally started from the College and marched through the adopted village ‘Kalah’ and the nearby area. Nukkad Natak was presented  in high school Kalah. A large number of NSS volunteers and students of the College participated in the rally and performed nukkad natak. They also raised slogans during the rally.

The faculty members include Prof. Braham Dutt Sharma, PTI Ashok Kumar, Dr. Imtiyaz Ahmed Bhatt, Mr. Ram Murti, and Ms. Sonali Dutta also participated in the rally.
