GDC Ramgarh celebrates ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’

SAMBA, October 31: The National Service Scheme Unit ‘Prabha’ of Government Degree College Ramgarh conducted Pledge Taking Ceremony, Unity Run and Awareness Lecture on ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the ‘Iron Man of India. The programme was organized under the supervision and leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra, Principal of the College.

The Principal said that National integration is such a force that keeps the society connected to each other and makes them strong. Unity means living together, working, understanding and cooperating with each other. It started within the family that holds every member of the family together. In today’s time, every youth has to unite for unification of the Country, So first of all unity in a family has to be awakened.

About 60 Volunteers from the College NSS Unit ran in the Unity Run with great zeal along with staff of the College. 

Prof. Sandeep Kumari, HOD Education, Resource Person; delivered a lecture on National Unity. She spoke about Unity in Diversity, how Independence was brought, the Indian Independence Act, and its recommendations. She emphasized how Sardar Patel played a pivotal role in Uniting the Country.

The proceedings of the Pledge were conducted by the NSS volunteer, Ms. Chahat Tidyal. All the enrolled students, Faculty members, and non-teaching staff took the pledge. The entire program was coordinated by Dr. Shamsher Lal (NSS PO).
