GDC Kalakote organises Seven-Day Winter Camp

JAMMU, December 24: NSS unit of Government Degree College Kalakote, in collaboration with the Department of Environmental Sciences, has started Seven-Day Special Winter Camp today here under the insightful guidance of the Principal Dr. Seema Arora.

The program commenced with the welcome note by Assistant Professor Khalida Parveen (HOD Environmental Science).

Dr. Seema Arora, Principal of the College, inaugurated the camp by lighting the traditional lamp followed by NSS Clap, NSS Song and NSS Pledge.

The seven-day camp has special appeal to the youth as it provides unique opportunities to the students for group living, collective experience sharing and constant interaction with the community. The volunteers took the opportunity and conducted a cleanliness drive on the first day of the camp.

Addressing the volunteers, the Principal said that the NSS plays an important role in mobilising the society and inculcating moral and social values among the youth. She also appreciated the NSS volunteers for showing enthusiasm and spreading awareness in the society.

At the end, the formal vote of thanks was presented by Assistant Professor Himanshu Kumar (Convener NSS unit).
