Div Com inspects Parade, unfurls National Flag at MA Stadium

JAMMU, August 13: The Full Dress Rehearsal for celebration of Independence Day 2023 was held today at Mulana Azad (M.A) Stadium Jammu with enthusiasm and Patriotic fervour.

The contingents of CRPF, JKP, SSB, NCC cadets, Forest, Fire Services and other departments, besides children of different schools presented an impressive March past.

Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar unfurled the nation flag, inspected the parade and saluted the March Past.

School children and artists of J&K Academy of Art Culture and Languages presented a colorful cultural programme featuring theme based presentations  which mesmerized the audience.

The cultural items depicted communal harmony and composite culture of Jammu Kashmir UT, Government initiatives besides featuring patriotic based presentations, folk music and dance.

Among others present were Additional Director General of Police, Mukesh Singh; DIG, Shakti Pathak; Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Avny Lavasa; Commissioner JMC, Rahul Yadav; Joint Director Information, Atul Gupta; ADCs besides Heads of different Departments and other civil and police Officers.

 At Kathua: The full dress rehearsal for 77th Independence Day was held in Kathua at Sports Stadium where contingents of Police, CRPF, Army, NCC cadets presented the march past. 

The rehearsal started with hoisting of National Flag by Deputy Commissioner, Rakesh Minhas followed by inspection of the parade.

In his address, the Deputy Commissioner greeted people on behalf of district administration. He highlighted the sacrifices made by Freedom Fighters to achieve the hard earned Freedom.

Addressing the participating students, the DC said that youth should not stop trying after encountering failures at initial stages as these are stepping stones to success. He said the idea of making India a global leader can only be realised through concerted efforts of all the citizens.

SSP Kathua, Shivdeep Singh Jamwal, ADC Ranjit Singh, besides other officers of district administration were also present on the occasion.

 At Rajouri: The spirit of patriotism and national pride filled the air as Rajouri conducted a successful full dress rehearsal for the Independence Day Celebrations. Under the overall supervision of District Magistrate Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, the district witnessed an impeccable display of discipline and unity.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rajeev Kumar Khajuria inspected the parade held at the District Police Lines, Police, CRPF, Forest Protection Force, NCC, and students from different educational institutions presented an impressive.

A symphony of patriotism reverberated through the air as the Police Band set the tone, leading the parade with precision. The contingents’ march past was nothing short of impressive, a testament to their dedication and preparation. The audience present at the event was treated to a feast for the eyes as students captivated hearts with cultural performances brimming with patriotic fervor, while also addressing societal issues that need attention.

 Addl. SP, Vivek Shekhar; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Imran Rashid Kataria; Chief Education Officer, Sultana Kouser and other civil and police officers were also present.  

 At SambaThe Rani Suchait Singh Sports Stadium came alive amid Full Dress Rehearsal. ADC Suresh Chander Sharma inspected the parade, hoisted the national flag, and took salute at the march past setting a solemn and unified tone for the occasion.

The participation of a large number of local residents added to the significance of the event.   In his address, the ADC talked about achievements and challenges in the district after paying tributes to the freedom fighters.

The stage lit up with vibrant cultural performances by students, showcasing the diversity and talent of J&K and India. A total of 15 groups, including students from Government and private schools, police, and para-military forces, displayed their unity and pride, embodying the spirit of the nation. The Senior Superintendent of Police Benam Tosh and other District and Sectoral Officers highlighted the event’s importance in fostering a sense of togetherness and shared purpose.

 At Doda: Full dress rehearsal for Independence Day celebration was held at Sports Stadium Doda.

 Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr. R K Bharti hoisted the National Flag, inspected the parade and took salute at the march past comprising contingents of JKP, IRP 5th Bn, SSB, FPF, Home Guard, Schools children, NCC Senior and Junior wing, and District Police band.

SSP, Abdul Qayoom and other civil and Police Officers were also present at the program. The SSP directed some minor rectifications in the March past parade.

 The ADC highlighted the relevance of the National festival and remembered the sacrifices of the freedom fighters. He paid homage to the martyrs of the district whose efforts and sacrifices have guaranteed our safety, security, and prosperity. He listed the indigenous initiatives of the district administration under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav named ADBHUT Doda, wherein various district specific measures have been taken for inclusive development of the people.

He referred to Online classes, study material made available on ADBHUT Doda portal and appointment of Prabhari Officers for Schools to improve the quality of education.  

ASP Hq, DIO DIPR, DYSSO, Dy SP DAR, CAO, Cultural Officer, besides other senior officers of Police and Civil Administration were also present on the occasion.

 Similarly, a full dress rehearsal for Independence Day celebrations was held at New Bus Stand Bhaderwah. ADC Chowdhary Dil Mir hoisted the Tricolour and took salute at the March past.

 At Ramban: Full Dress Rehearsal for 77th Independence    Day celebrations was held with patriotic spirit at District Police Lines Ramban. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Lal Sharma unfurled the National Flag and  inspected the parade comprising contingents of Police, IRP, Home Guard, Forest Protection Forces,  and school children.  A cultural program highlighting the composite culture and the  theme ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ was also presented.

 Additional SP, Gourav Mahajan; ACR Giasul Haq,  and other officers were also present. The stage proceedings were ably conducted by Ranjay Kumar and Ruhi Kundal.

 At Udhampur: Additional Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Joginder Singh Jasrotia took salute at an impressive march past comprising contingents of J&K Police, ITBP, SKPA, Volunteers Home Guard, NCC and Police Band.

Deputy Commissioner Sachin Kumar Vaishya, Senior Superintendent of Police, Dr Vinod Kumar,  ACR, Rafiq Ahmed Jaral,  besides district heads of various departments were also present to witness the full dress rehearsal.

The Full Dress Rehearsal commenced with the unfurling of national flag by the ADC at 9: Am followed by signing of National Anthem.

The ADC congratulated the participants in general and public in particular on the eve of upcoming Independence Day and paid tributes to the freedom fighters.  

The ADC also highlighted the achievements registered by different departments in the current financial year and listed  the schemes launched by the Government  and appealed to the people to come forward and avail the benefits of these schemes.

As many as 8 theme-based cultural performances were presented by the students of different government and Private educational institutions.

At Reasi: Full Dress rehearsal in connection with the celebrations of 77th Independence Day, 2023 was held with great enthusiasm here at General Zorawar Singh Sports Stadium, Reasi today.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Reasi Abdul Sattar hoisted the tri-colour and took salute at an impressive march past contingents drawn from Police, CRPF, platoons of NCC cadets besides formation of Police Band.

On the occasion, students presented scintillating cultural items based on patriotism, cultural traditions, which were applauded by the audience present on the occasion.

ADC highlighted the sacrifices of the freedom fighters besides throwing light on the significance of the Constitution of India. He also highlighted the developmental scenario of the district. ADC also called upon the officers, school children and public to come in large numbers to celebrate the National function enthusiastically.

At Kishtwar: The full dress rehearsal for the main programme of Independence Day Parade, 2023 was held today at Chowgan Ground Kishtwar amid all necessary arrangements.

Additional District Development Commissioner Kishtwar, Sham Lal Sharma accompanied by Addl. SP Kishtwar, Rajinder Singh hoisted the National Flag, took salute from parade commander, contingents and inspected the parade of contingents. The parade was commanded by Dy.SP Vishal Sharma.

The 35 contingents that participated in the March past parade included Police, JKAP, CRPF, CISF, IRP, Forest Protection Force, NCC and student contingents from schools of District Kishtwar.

Meanwhile, Artists, students performed colorful cultural programmes amid the national Patriotic Songs and local popular songs which enthralled the audience and invoked huge applause.

SSP Kishtwar, Khalil Ahmed Poswal, ADC Kishtwar Inderjeet Singh Parihar, ACR Varunjeet Singh Charak, ACD Manoj Kumar, DPO Sunil Bhutyal, Tehsildar Kishtwar Muneeb Umar, Dy SP HQ Ishan Gupta, Dy. SP DAR Sajjad Khan, DIO Kishtwar/State Taxes Officer Maneet Sharma, CEO Kishtwar Prehlad Bhagat, DYSSO Kishtwar Kharati Lal Sharma and other officers of Police/Civil administration also attended the full dress rehearsal.

At Poonch, A full dress rehearsal for the Independence Day celebrations was held at the Sports Stadium Poonch.

Senior Superintendent of Police, Vinay Kumar, Deputy Director Employment,  Rafiq Ahmed, District Information Officer, Ayaz Ahmed Bhat, DYSSO, Mohd. Qasim, CEPO, Narinder Mohan Suri, Master of Ceremony, Pardeep Khanna and Vijay Kumar (PEM) besides officers from civil and police administration were present on the occasion.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Tahir Mustafa Malik hoisted the National Flag, took salute at the march past and inspected the parade.

During the parade inspection, DYSP Operation Aijaz Ahmed accompanied the Additional Deputy Commissioner.

 The contingents of various security forces, including CRPF, JKP, JKAP, J&K Police (QRT Commander), NCC Government Degree College, students from different schools and the Band Party presented an impressive march past.

DYSP DAR, Mohd. Shafiq, served as the Parade Commander, while Inspector Mudsar Ali acted as the 2nd in Commandant.

 Following the National Anthem, the Additional Deputy Commissioner inspected the parade and delivered a speech on the occasion.

Expressing satisfaction over the performance of the parade contingents and the meticulous arrangements made for the National Day celebrations, Additional Deputy Commissioner Tahir Mustafa Malik commended the efforts put forth by all involved. He urged the parade contingents to showcase their skills and enthusiasm in an even more remarkable manner on the scheduled day, ensuring that the event is celebrated flawlessly and successfully.

In addition to the parade, children and students from various government and private schools in Poonch city and its peripheries participated in rehearsal for the cultural show that will be presented at the district-level function of Independence Day, to be held at the Sport-Stadium Ground.
