Growing up in Jammu, she would often sing at school cultural events, but as she got older, her focus shifted towards academics and her future career. It wasn’t until much later in life that she rediscovered her love for music, and began to explore its healing power.

Today, Dr Archana is a professional physiotherapist, an ardent singer, and a devoted mother to a six-year-old child. She expertly balances her passion and profession by dedicating her weekends to singing and weekdays to her work as a physiotherapist. She ensures that she makes time for her child by taking him along to her singing classes, allowing him to learn and appreciate music. She manages to excel in all her roles through prioritisation and time management.

As a physiotherapist, Dr Archana has helped countless patients recover from injuries and illnesses, using her expertise to alleviate pain and restore function. But it’s her love for singing that has truly set her apart, allowing her to connect with others on a deeper level and provide a different kind of healing. Dr Archana B Vali shares that music has been a source of relief for her during stressful times. However, it was only when she pursued a career in physiotherapy that she discovered the true therapeutic benefits of music.

Born and raised in Jammu and Kashmir, Dr Archana’s passion for music dates back to her childhood. She sang at school cultural events and found solace in music during stressful times. However, her focus on academics prevented her from pursuing her passion for singing, and she only sang on a casual basis. After completing her education, Dr Archana got married and moved to Chandigarh, where she started working as a physiotherapist. Despite the demands of her new household and professional responsibilities, she found herself drawn to singing once again. Often, she would hum songs while treating patients, who often complimented her singing.

Encouraged by her father as well as her husband Mr Abhinav Vali, she decided to
pursue singing more seriously, and after discovering her talent, sought out a mentor to guide her. She found that mentor in Ustad PreetAheer ji, who taught her singing at the Chandigarh School of Music, where she attended a weekly class. Juggling her role as a mother and professional proved challenging, and she quit for a time before returning to practice under her mentor’s guidance. Her perseverance paid off, and she eventually made her debut in the Punjabi music industry with the release of her first song, “Tere Bin.”

The song is a beautiful representation of emotions, and as soon as she heard the lyrics, she was eager to take on the project. The team at Dark Life Studio provided her with exceptional support throughout the process of recording and producing the song, and she successfully dubbed it. But the experience was not without its challenges, and Dr Archana recalls feeling anxious and overwhelmed upon entering the studio.

Recording in a studio was an entirely different experience from singing in public, and her nerves got the best of her. Despite multiple attempts, she was unable to get it right. But rather than give up, she sought counselling to reduce her stress levels, and after a few days, she was able to successfully record the song. It’s a testament to her resilience and determination, and a reminder that even the most talented among us must work hard to achieve our goals.

Today, Dr Archana is a rising star in the world of Punjabi music, with a growing fanbase and a string of successful singles under her belt. Dr Archana’s music is a reflection of her emotions and experiences, with lyrics that touch the heart and melodies that soothe the soul.
