From Article 370 to Chenab Bridge: Dr. Tahir Choudhary Applauds PM Modi-Led Govt’s Vision for J&K

Jammu, 14 June 2025: BJP spokesperson Dr. Tahir Choudhary on Saturday day lauded the 11-year journey of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s government, calling it a golden era of decisive leadership, national integration, and inclusive development, especially for the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.

As part of the nationwide celebration, Dr. Choudhary said, “From the abrogation of Article 370 to the inauguration of the Chenab Bridge, this government has delivered on the long-awaited promises of development, dignity, and connectivity for J&K.”

He emphasized that the revocation of Article 370 was not just a political decision but a historic correction that ensured full integration of Jammu & Kashmir with the rest of India—ending decades of isolation and creating new opportunities for peace and progress.

He hailed the Chenab Rail Bridge—the world’s highest railway arch bridge—as a monumental step in connecting Kashmir to the rest of the country, symbolizing strength, resilience, and unity.

“PM Modi’s tenure has transformed Jammu & Kashmir into a region of hope and opportunity. Be it all-weather roads, world-class infrastructure, or flagship schemes like Ayushman Bharat and PMAY, every citizen is now part of the growth story,” Dr. Choudhary said.

He also noted the decisive crackdown on terrorism, improved law and order, and massive infrastructure push as the foundations of a new, empowered Jammu & Kashmir.

Praising PM Modi’s leadership, Dr. Choudhary said that under the Atma Nirbhar Bharat initiative, India’s defence, digital economy, and health sectors have seen historic growth, adding that India now commands respect globally as a confident, self-reliant nation.

“This journey of Reform, Perform, and Transform has only begun. The next decade will see Jammu & Kashmir rise as a pillar of Viksit Bharat — a developed, empowered India,” he added.
