Forest Range Office Khaltse Organizes Environmental Awareness Rally at Khaltse

Khaltse, June 3, 2025: The Forest Range Office Khaltse today organized an Environmental Awareness Rally with the students and staff of Government Higher Secondary School Khaltse. The rally commenced from the school premises, proceeded through Khaltse Market, and concluded at the Forest Range Office Khaltse.

The initiative aimed to raise public awareness about environmental conservation and emphasize the pressing need to combat plastic pollution, in line with the theme of World Environment Day.

Addressing the participants, Forest Block Officer Abass Ali spoke about the pre-campaign activities leading up to World Environment Day and highlighted the harmful effects of plastic pollution on the environment.

The rally saw active participation from Forest Range Officer Khaltse, Deskyong Namgail; staff of the Forest Range Office Khaltse; Staff and Students of Government Higher Secondary School Khaltse. Police personnel was also present during the said Rally.

The event successfully conveyed a strong message about environmental responsibility and community involvement in preserving the natural ecosystem.
