First DLIC meeting under Mission YUVA held at Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, JUNE 11: The first meeting of the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) for the Mission YUVA initiative was held today here under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner   Rajesh Kumar Shavan.

The meeting was convened to review and approve applications received under the Mission YUVA scheme and assess the progress of cases forwarded by the Small Business Development Units (SBDUs) and Business Help Desks (BHDs).

A total of 25 applications, duly verified by the SBDU were presented before the DLIC for consideration. Each case was thoroughly scrutinized assessing the project viability, besides eligibility and socio-economic background of the applicants.

The committee unanimously approved all 25 applications for financial assistance and necessary handholding support under the Mission YUVA.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the crucial role of youth in the economic development and the need to empower them through Mission YUVA. He directed the District Nodal Officer JKEDI and Functional Manager DIC to expedite the formulation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) so that applications received through SBDUs can be promptly verified and placed before the DLIC for timely approval.

He also directed the banks to expedite disbursement of financial assistance for sanctioned projects and maintain close monitoring to ensure the long-term success of the ventures.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Kishtwar, Pawan Kotwal, GM DIC Rishi Sharma, AD Employment/FCS&CA Kishtwar, Shafqat Ali Keen DSWO Kishtwar, Zubair Ahmed, DDM NABARD, LDM Kishtwar, Manager J&K Bank Cluster Office, Representative District Nodal Officer JKEDI and other concerned officers.
