FICCI FLO JKL Hosts Promo Run for its Half Marathon’24 RUN4HEALTH: A Step Towards Tuberculosis Eradication

Jammu March 31, 2024 – Today, FICCI FLO JKL took a significant step towards promoting health and eradicating tuberculosis with the organization of a 10 km ‘Promo Run’ in anticipation of the upcoming FICCI FLO JKL Half Marathon’24 RUN4HEALTH. Scheduled for April 21, 2024, and set to commence from the University of Jammu, this marathon aims to raise funds for the eradication of tuberculosis, aligning with the national initiative of TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan led by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji. Chairperson of FICCI FLO JKL, Ruchika Gupta, emphasized the imperative need for collective action to combat tuberculosis, a persistent public health challenge in India. She highlighted the vision behind the marathon, stating, “Our goal is not just to run, but to run with purpose. The proceeds from this marathon will provide essential nutritional support, testing, and treatment facilities to tuberculosis patients in Jammu & Kashmir.”

FICCI FLO JKL is proud to organize the Half Marathon’24 RUN4HEALTH in collaboration with the University of Jammu, with Narayana Super Specialty Hospital as the Health Partner, and powered by Munjal Auto. The success of this initiative hinges upon the active participation and support of all individuals, contributing to raising awareness about tuberculosis and its prevention. Instrumental in coordinating the Promo Run were FLO JKL members Kanupriya Garg, the first ultra woman of Jammu & Kashmir UT, alongside Shipra Aggarwal, an ace runner. The enthusiastic participation of the running community and FICCI FLO JKL core team & members underscored their commitment to supporting this noble cause.
