Exciting Inter-School Zonal Level competitions held across educational of zones District Kisthwar

KISHTWAR, MAY 17: The Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Kishtwar, in continuation to its unwavering commitment to youth engagement and sports development, organized a series of thrilling Inter School Zonal Level Competitions across various zones of the district.
These events, held under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Kumar Shavan and the supervision of District Youth Services & Sports Officer (DYSSO) Jaffer Haider Sheikh, witnessed enthusiastic participation and showcased the rising passion for sports among the local youth.
Zone Kishtwar conducted a mega sports event across multiple venues including Chowgan Ground, ITI Ground, and GHSS Boys.
Students competed in a wide array of disciplines such as Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball, Tug of War, Badminton, Chess, Carrom, Yoga, and Rope Skipping. A total of 200 students participated, creating an electric atmosphere full of energy, excitement, and sportsmanship.
Zone Nagseni held a focused competition in Rope Skipping for All Age Groups (AAG) at Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, with 110 enthusiastic participants. The students displayed remarkable agility and coordination, a testament to their training and commitment.
Zone Paddar organized competitions in Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball, and Tug of War specifically for girls from various High Schools and Higher Secondary Schools. A total of 90 girls showcased their athletic prowess, turning the event into a powerful display of women empowerment through sports.
Zone Drabshalla hosted Athletics and Badminton competitions for the U/17 boys and girls, attracting 80 participants. These events brought attention to emerging talent in track, field, and racquet sports within the zone.
The successful execution of these competitions was made possible through the dedicated efforts of Zonal Physical Education Officers (ZPEOs), sports officials, and ground-level staff, who ensured seamless coordination and strict adherence to competition guidelines.
DYSSO Kishtwar applauded the collective efforts of all zones and emphasized the department’s ongoing commitment to nurturing a strong sports culture in the region. He reiterated that such competitions are vital for holistic development and play a crucial role in channeling youthful energy toward positive and productive pursuits.
