Dulloo reviews PM Gati Shakti-National Master Plan for agriculture, allied sectors

Discussed proposed plans for framing of Comprehensive Export Promotion Policy

JAMMU, JANUARY 27: Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Agriculture Production Department (APD), Atal Dulloo, today chaired a meeting to review implementation of Pradhan Mantri Gati Shakti-National Master Plan for agriculture and allied sectors in Jammu and Kashmir.

Dulloo expressed satisfaction over the progress on implementation of PM Gati Shakti in APD while asking the concerned heads of the departments to further improve data by identifying missing links. He directed the Head of Departments to complete the lists within shortest time and submit it to the Bhaskaracharya Institute for Space Applications and Geo-informatics (BISAG) for uploading on the portal.

Managing Director, J&K Agro Industries Corporation Limited, Arun Kumar Manhas, delivered a presentation regarding implementation of PM Gati Shakti in agriculture and allied sector. He briefed the meeting about the present status of the scheme saying that different departments have been asked to submit the data layers for uploading on PM Gati Shakti Portal.

He told the meeting that out of 56 data layers, which were asked from different departments under APD, 44 data layers have been uploaded on the Portal, so far.

Later, the ACS chaired a meeting of Technical Working Groups (TWGs) to discuss proposed plans for framing of ‘Comprehensive Export Promotion Policy (CEPP)’.

During the meeting, TWGs gave their respective presentations sharing the strategies, mapping of given commodity’s resources, approaches for export promotion, international export destinations etc.

Dulloo suggested quantification coupled with interventions containing rough costs and multi-stakeholders’ consultation before final approval of respective plans for export promotion of commodities from J&K.

The meetings were attended by Vice Chancellor SKUAST Jammu, Secretary in Agriculture Production Department, Director General, Industries and Commerce Jammu (Nodal Officer) TSG PM Gati Shakti,  Director General, Sericulture Development, Director General Sheep Husbandry, Kashmir, Director General, Command Area Development Jammu, Dr. Jivisha Joshi Gangopadhyay, Deputy Secretary, Logistics DPIIT, M/O Commerce and Industry, Archana Chauhan, BISAG, Ahmedabad, Director Horticulture Jammu/Kashmir, Director, Agriculture Jammu/Kashmir, Director Animal Husbandry Jammu/Kashmir, Director Sheep Husbandry Jammu, Director (P&M) Horticulture, Director Command Area Development, Kashmir, Director JKHPM, Director Fisheries, Managing Director JKHPM, Managing Director Agro Industries Limited, Secretary, Advisory Board for Development of Kissans and members of TWGs participated in the meeting both in person and through video conferencing.
