Drug peddler held with Charas during Naka checking in Baramulla

BARAMULLA, 2 June: Launching a heavy crackdown on the drug menace, Baramulla Police apprehended drug peddler on Friday during a Naka checking.  

As per prima-facie, drug peddler has been identified as Sarwar Ganie of Wussan Khoie. Moreover, 53 grams of Charas has been recovered from his possession.

It is learnt Naka was laid down by the Baramulla Police and drug peddler Sarwar Ganie felt nevous and tried to flee during the checking. The Police noticed and nabbed the accused on the spot.

A case under the relevant section of law has been registered and further investigation is being taken up.
