Dr. Rajeev Bhagat holds Public Darbar at BJP headquarters
Jammu, 24 June 2025: Dr. Rajeev Bhagat, MLA from Bishnah Assembly Constituency, held a Public Darbar at the Jammu & Kashmir BJP Headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. The Darbar witnessed active public participation, with over a dozen deputations from various parts of Jammu region coming forward to present their issues and concerns.

People from areas including Gangyal Garden, Ward 56 Gangyal, Last Morh Gandhi Nagar, Bari Brahmana, Patiari Bishnah, Karyal Khurd, Makhanpur, Lower Kanal, Channi Himmat, Majua Utterbani, Gorkha Nagar, Chinor, and others attended the programme and raised important civic and infrastructural concerns before the MLA.
The deputations highlighted a range of issues such as the need for upgradation and clearance of deep drains, construction and repair of internal lanes and drains, installation of electric poles and street lights, frequent power outages, leakage in PHE water pipes, and construction and widening of roads. Other pressing matters raised included replacement of damaged transformers, issues with faulty smart meters and electrical boxes, need for proper drain gratings, and above all, the acute shortage of drinking water in many areas.
Dr. Rajeev Bhagat gave a patient and attentive hearing to each deputation and assured that their concerns would be taken up with the concerned departments on priority. He also emphasized the BJP’s commitment to grassroots governance and responsive administration.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Rajeev Bhagat said that BJP workers are led by the principles of party ideologues Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookherjee, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhayay and others. Now Prime Minister Narendra Modi is leading public service with a passion unparallelled and setting an example for all BJP cadre to follow.
Dr. Rajeev Bhagat added that the BJP believes in taking governance to the doorstep of the people. He termed these Public Darbars as a reflection of intent to stay connected with citizens and ensure that no issue goes unheard. He assured everyone that each genuine concern raised here will be followed up promptly with the respective departments.
“Such platforms continue to bridge the gap between the public and governance, reinforcing BJP’s dedication towards public welfare and development-oriented politics”, he said.
The Darbar was coordinated by Er. T.K. Sharma, Co-convenor of BJP Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, and helped document the grievances for further action.
