RS Pura, Jammu, 30th April 2025: In a significant move to accelerate developmental initiatives in RS Pura-Jammu South, Dr. Narinder Singh, Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) and BJP National Secretary, chaired a high-level meeting of senior government officials. The meeting focused on assessing ongoing projects and strengthening inter-departmental coordination to ensure faster and more efficient implementation of development schemes.

The meeting witnessed the presence of key officials, including SDM Anuradha Thakur, Tehsildar Chander Shekhar, Block Development Officers (BDOs), Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), and senior officials from departments such as PWD, PDD, and other essential government bodies. The agenda revolved around reviewing current infrastructure projects, discussing future proposals, and identifying areas that require urgent attention.

While addressing the officials, Dr. Singh reviewed the progress of various works in the pipeline and stressed the importance of timely execution and inter-departmental synergy. He called upon officials to anticipate future infrastructure needs and devise comprehensive plans to meet the growing aspirations of the people in the region.

In a noteworthy initiative aimed at inclusive development, Dr. Singh urged all senior officials present, including himself, to adopt at least one underprivileged child, preferably from Scheduled Castes (SC) or other marginalized communities. He appealed to them to take complete responsibility for the adopted child’s education, nutrition, and overall well-being.

“This is not merely a gesture of charity, but a step toward building a compassionate and inclusive society,” Dr. Singh said. “We must ensure that the poor and needy do not feel left behind in the journey of progress. Societal participation is key to uplifting the socio-economic status of the underprivileged.”

The MLA’s call for personal accountability and societal involvement received a positive response from the attending officials, who acknowledged the need for both infrastructural and human development.

Dr. Singh concluded the meeting by reiterating the government’s commitment to holistic development and urged all departments to work collectively to transform RS Pura-Jammu South into a model constituency.
