DLSA Kathua celebrates International Yoga Day

KATHUA, JUNE 21: Under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority, J&K Legal Services Authority and under the esteemed guidance of Chairman, District Legal Services Authority Kathua Jatinder Singh Jamwal (Principal District and Sessions Judge, Kathua), DLSA Kathua celebrated International Yoga Day today.

The programme was organised by the Secretary/Sub-Judge DLSA   Kamiya Singh Andotra which began with a series of yoga sessions aiming at promoting holistic health and mental well-being. The main event was organised at the District Court Complex where Judicial Officers, Advocates, staff members and PLVs actively participated.

Trained Yoga Instructors and Medical Officers led the session, guiding attendees through various asanas and breathing techniques.

In a broader outreach initiative, PLVs also conducted yoga sessions at various Legal Aid Clinics including Old Age home, Palash, Parisha, One Stop Centre, District Jail Kathua, Police Stations/Police Posts of District Kathua. This year marks 11h International Day of Yoga with the theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”, which echoes that personal wellness and planetary earth are inseparably linked. In caring for ourselves we began to care for the earth.
