District Red Cross Society Kishtwar elects new Managing Committee  

KISHTWAR, JULY 20: The Annual General Meeting of the District Red Cross Society Kishtwar was held today here in the Conference hall of the Mini Secretariat DC Office during which the elections to elect the managing committee members were conducted.

Under the leadership of the Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Devansh Yadav, who also serves as the President of the District Red Cross Society, the individuals elected to key positions are Chairman, Sham Lal ADDC (elected unopposed); Vice Chairman, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. M.Y. Mir   (elected with 55 votes out of 81 votes) Treasurer, Accounts Officer DC Office, Imran Ahmed Kitchloo (elected unopposed).

Further, Khalil Ahmed Poswal, Senior Superintendent of Police has been nominated as the Vice President of the District Red Cross Society by President District Red Cross Society, Dr. Devansh Yadav.

The election was conducted smoothly by the Returning Officer (RO), ACR, Varunjeet Singh Charak.

In addition to the Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Treasurer, a total of 25 members were also elected to be part of the management committee of the District Red Cross Society.

Prior to the elections, a notice was circulated in the public domain inviting individuals to apply for membership and registration in the District Red Cross Society.

The DC urged the new Committee to work diligently for the betterment and welfare of the society. He also emphasized the importance of involving youth in the service programs and initiatives to foster a stronger sense of community engagement.

He also expressed gratitude to everyone who participated in the election process.
