District Reasi set to launch Dharti Aaba Abhiyan Camps across 44 Tribal Villages

REASI, JUNE 10: In a significant move aimed at fostering holistic and sustainable development within tribal communities, the District Administration Reasi is set to launch a 15-day awareness and benefit saturation campaign under the banner Dharti Aaba Abhiyan. Themed “Tribal Welfare: From Vision to Mission”, the campaign is being held from June 15 to June 30, 2025, across 44 selected tribal villages spanning nine blocks of the district.

As part of the preparatory phase, a comprehensive ground truthing and gap analysis exercise has already been completed in the tribal settlements under the supervision of Block Development Officers (BDOs).

The assessment identified critical deficits in infrastructure and key human development indicators specific to tribal areas. The Deputy Commissioner Nidhi Malik said that district and block-level committees have been constituted to ensure effective planning and execution of the upcoming camps.

During the campaign period, the administration will organize special camps in the selected villages to ensure benefit saturation and the delivery of essential government services to the tribal population.

The emphasis will be placed on coordinated planning by all 17 participating departments to ensure full preparedness for the implementation of 25 key interventions under the campaign.

These services will include on-the-spot facilitation of Aadhaar enrollment, issuance of Caste and Domicile Certificates, Ration Cards, health services under the Poshan Abhiyaan and various financial empowerment schemes. The camps will be conducted under the supervision of BDOs and in close coordination with line departments to maximize outreach and efficiency.

Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) activities and on-spot delivery camps will be held regularly at the block level.

The activities will be documented and uploaded on the Adiprasarn portal maintained by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs (MoTA) by the respective BDOs.

The Deputy Commissioner stressed the importance of intensified efforts and strong inter-departmental coordination to ensure the success of the campaign. She also called upon the tribal population of Reasi to actively participate in the saturation camps to take full advantage of the services being extended for their welfare and empowerment.
