District Development Council Udhampur reviews execution of works across key sectors

UDHAMPUR, MAY 19: Chairperson District Development Council Udhampur Lal Chand, today chaired the meeting of District Development Council in presence of Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai to discuss modalities for fast pacing development works across different sectors in the district.
The meeting was attended by Vice Chairperson DDC, Juhi Manhas Pathania, Additional District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Singh, Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Iqbal; Assistant Commissioner Panchayats, Dr. Ashwani Hansa and other senior district officers.
A threadbare discussion was held on a wide range of developmental issues and schemes which includes provision of electricity poles in underserved areas, repair of hand pumps and installation of solar lights, construction of footbridges, early completion of the pending playground project, ensuring quality of ongoing construction works, addressing the the shortage of drinking water in different areas etc.
During the meeting, the DDC Chairperson appreciated the efforts of the District Administration, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner being made for the effective implementation of government schemes and flagship programmes on the ground. He also sought the continued cooperation of the administration in addressing public grievances and emphasized the importance of setting clear timelines for resolving public issues.
The Deputy Commissioner thanked the DDC members and all participants for their valuable inputs. She assured the Council that all concerns raised during the meeting were duly noted and would be redressed on a priority basis.
