Director RDD reviews progress of Rural Development works, schemes in Poonch

POONCH, MAY 23: Director Rural Development Department Jammu Mohammad Mumtaz Ali convened a review meeting to assess the status and implementation of the RDD schemes in Poonch during his tour to the border District.
The meeting was attended by Block Development Officers and functionaries of Rural Engineering Wing.


The meeting was informed that 97% PMAY-(G)/AwassPlus houses have been completed and work on remaining is in progress. It was further informed that only 17 cases are pending for first installment for which directions were issued to obtain the relevant documents and resolve the issue, if any, within a week’s time to dispose of the cases.
Instructions were issued for preparation of Annual Action Plan under UT Capex after ascertaining the feasibility /estimation of each work strictly as per the instructions passed by the higher authorities and submit the same by May 24- 2025 (Saturday) positively.

Assistant Commissioner Panchayat and the Block Development Officers of the District were directed to submit the physical and financial status and other details of incomplete Panchayat Ghars, taken up under the schemes other than Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA), so that further action is taken in the matter. They were further directed to resolve land disputes and other related issues pertaining to the construction of Panchayat Ghars under RGSA.

The Director also inspected a number of completed/ongoing developmental works in Poonch, Mankote Mendhar and Balakote Blocks which includes Panchayat Ghars, Amrit Sarovars, CSCs, Multipurpose halls, works related to connectivity etc and directed the field staff to monitor the quality, specification and ensure timeline completion of the projects/works. He also interacted with the field staff/frontline workers and listened to their grievances and assured them that appropriate action will be taken in due course for resolving their grievances.
