Director Health Services Jammu takes stock of patient care scenario in District Reasi

REASI, MAY 29: Continuing the interactive touring pattern, Director Health Services Jammu Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar visited District Reasi and took detailed review of overall healthcare services and different programmes being run by the Health Department for the well being of the public.


The Director was accompanied by Deputy Director Schemes Dr. Poonam Sethi and Assistant Director Schemes Dr. Ila Gupta. Chairing a meeting, the DHSJ took stock of the current challenges after a threadbare discussion with all present.
Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar directed Chief Medical Officer Dr. M A Kohli to ensure effective execution and monitoring for better implementation of every programme to benefit the public at grassroots level. He assured to meet the requirements of manpower and infrastructure for improving patient care and effective functioning of the Health services in all the facilities of the District Reasi. Expressing satisfaction over working of the Health Department in the District, he instructed the BMOs to strengthen the system by ensuring time to time training of the medical staff.
The meeting was attended by Medical Superintendent, District Hospital, Dy CMO, BMO Katra, Pouni and I/C BMO Reasi and Mahore, besides Nodal Officer RBSK, DPMU Reasi.


Later, the Director visited District Hospital Reasi and inspected the facilities in the health institution. The DHS took a round of all sections of the institution including Emergency Room, ICU, X-Ray section, Wards, Labour Room, OT, Dental section, Laboratory etc and found the facilities were functioning well. During interaction with patients and attendants, it was observed that services are being provided to the satisfaction of the public. The DHS emphasized the importance of patient satisfaction and efficient service delivery and highlighted the department’s commitment to improve public healthcare in the region.


Meanwhile, Dy. Director Schemes inspected the MCH section, SNCU and Labour Room along with AD Schemes. The DD Schemes appreciated the working of all these Sections and instructed the incharge to continue working in the same spirit for the benefit of the public.
The visit aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of healthcare delivery in the district and ensure optimal functioning of medical facilities for the well being of the public.
