DIC Leh to organise one day seminar on PMFME

LEH, February 21: The Department of Industries and Commerce, UT Ladakh is organising a one-day seminar on Pradhan Mantri Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) in collaboration with the Dalit Indian Chamber of Industries and Commerce (DICCI) on February 23 at Sindhu Sanskriti Kendra, Leh

This seminar is intended to create awareness among the people of Leh District about the potential of food processing business in the country and how they can benefit under PMFME.

The PMFME is a flagship scheme of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MOFPI), GoI. The scheme envisage to support, individual entrepreneurs, SHGS, FPOs, Producers cooperatives etc. engaged in the food processing business or intending to set up new business especially for ODOP product, by providing increased access to credit, training, marketing support etc. to bring all such micro food processing businesses into formal sector.

DICCI on the other hand has long experience in organising promotional activities for the MSMEs owned by the ST/SCS community in the country.
