Deworming drive conducted for Children of SHG members at Mantribugh Shopian

SHOPIAN, MAY 31: On the directions of Mission Director, JKRLM, J&K UT, JKRLM Shopian in collaboration with Chief Medical Office (CMO) Shopian and Education Department successfully conducted a Deworming drive for children (up to 10 years of age) of Self Help Group (SHG) members under the UMEED programme at Mantribugh, Shopian today.

This health initiative aimed to promote child well-being and prevent parasitic infections among children of SHG families. The event witnessed active participation from the community and was effectively coordinated by the field teams of JKRLM and the Health Department.

A dedicated team from JKRLM, including District Programme Managers (DPMs), Block Programme Manager (BPM) and Coordinators worked alongside a deputed medical team from the Health Department.
The departments ensured safe and effective administration of deworming medication to the eligible children.
