Deputy Commissioner reviews implementation of Tribal Schemes in Poonch District
POONCH, MAY 31: Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting to review the progress achieved under the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan.
The meeting was convened to assess the implementation status of tribal welfare schemes and infrastructure development projects in the district.
A PowerPoint presentation was given by the Chief Planning Officer, outlining progress under various schemes. A total of 17 departments and 25 schemes were reviewed.
The Deputy Commissioner directed for 100 percent saturation of all tribal welfare schemes in all 58 tribal villages, including those under the Tribal Sub Plan (TSP) and PM Adi Adarsh Gram Yojana. He further stressed on addressing financial liabilities on priority to facilitate smooth execution of the schemes.
As part of the campaign, Gram Sabhas are being conducted in all identified villages to review the implementation, identify gaps and take corrective measures.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed on the presence of all line departments at the special Gram Sabhas being held on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, for real time coordination and resolution.
The meeting was attended by the ADDC, CPO, XENs, DSWO, AD CAPD, BDOs and other senior officers of the district.
