Deputy Commissioner Rajouri reviews functioning of Revenue Department

Calls for quality disposal of public grievances

RAJOURI, May 04:   Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, today took a comprehensive review of the functioning of the Revenue Department here at a meeting of the concerned officers.

During the meeting, a detailed discussion was held on various points including progress on geo-tagging of villages under Cadastral map, online revenue services being provided to the public, Sarkari Zameen Portal, disposal of public grievances and other revenue-related matters.

The meeting was informed that out of a total of 386 villages in the district 69 have been geo-tagged so far. The Deputy Commissioner stressed the importance of expediting the geo-tagging process and asked the officers to complete the process at the earliest. Similarly, the DC also reviewed the progress under Sarkari Zameen Portal.

The importance of government priorities such as the digitization of Jamabandies, efficient delivery of all online revenue services, and other public-friendly initiatives aimed at bringing transparency and accountability to the department were also highlighted during the meeting.

The DC emphasized the importance of providing prompt and efficient services to the public and urged the officers to work with zeal and dedication towards achieving this goal.

The Deputy Commissioner also directed revenue officers to educate the public about the online services and encourage them to take advantage of the same. He also stressed the need for prompt disposal of online applications to ensure that the public receives timely and efficient services.

GDC Kishtwar takes out awareness Rally under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan

KISHTWAR, MAY 04: The NSS Unit of Government Degree College Kishtwar today organized an awareness rally from the College campus to the adopted village Panditgam.

This rally was organized under the banner of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, an initiative of Government of India and was flagged off by the College Principal, Dr. Jyoti Parihar.

She addressed the students and applauded their efforts to spread awareness among public in general and students in particular.

 Around 70 students participated in the rally carrying posters and placards with messages urging the public to refrain themselves from tobacco/drug use.

Students also raised slogans to make people aware about drug menace.

Prof Sonika Sen (NSS P.O.) , Dr Madhu Bala (ANO NCC), Prof. Romana Akhter, Dr. Munish kumar, Dr Vijay Kumar, Dr Sehrish Gazal, Prof Randeep Kumar, Prof Vikram Singh accompanied the rally.
