Deputy Commissioner Poonch visits Gurudwara Sahib, pays tribute to shelling victim S. Amarjit Singh

POONCH, MAY 16:  Deputy Commissioner Poonch Vikas Kundal paid a heartfelt visit to Gurudwara Baithak Mahant Mohar Singh Ji, here near District Hospital today to participate in the 10th Day (Antim Ardas) ceremony held in memory of Late S. Amarjit Singh, who lost his life in the recent cross-border shelling.

The solemn ceremony, attended by members of the Sikh community and local residents, was convened to pay tribute to S. Amarjit Singh. The Deputy Commissioner offered condolences to the bereaved family and stood in solidarity with the community.

“S. Amarjit Singh’s sacrifice for the Nation would be remembered for a long time, he will always be known for his courage,” said the Deputy Commissioner.

The Tehsildar Haveli also assured the bereaved family of all possible support from the administration and reaffirmed the district’s commitment to peace and the safety of civilians.

The congregation at Gurudwara Sahib reflected the community’s unity and strength, as prayers and tributes were offered in an atmosphere of deep respect and remembrance.
