Department of Computer Science organized a guest lecture for Students at Bhaderwah  Campus. 

“Discuss Emerging Technologies and Communication Skills in the IT Industry”

DODA April 1st : Department of Computer Science & IT at Bhaderwah Campus organized extension lectures for their students and scholars. 

Three distinguished experts, including one faculty member from Shoolini University in Himachal Pradesh and two from UpGrad Education Pvt. Ltd., interacted with the students, scholars, and staff of the department to discuss the latest developments in the field of IT. Dr. Jatinder Manhas, the Head of the Department, presented the welcome address. 

Mr. Arif Khateeb, the External Relations Officer, briefed the guests about the campus and the Bhaderwah town. Dr. Abid Srawar, Assistant Professor of the Department of Computer Science and IT, introduced the guest faculty to the audience. 

Dr. Purnima Bali, Associate Professor at Chitrakoot School of Liberal Arts, Shoolini University, Solan, Himachal Pradesh, delivered a lecture on the significance of communication skills in the IT world. She highlighted the crucial role that communication plays in the growth of a career in the IT industry. 

Dr. Bali also discussed the key elements of

communication skills essential for success in the IT industry and emphasized the importance of being able to share our thoughts with confidence and self-assuredness.

Mr. Shamneesh Sharma and Mr. Chetan Sharma, both Managers – Programs at UpGrad

Education Pvt. Ltd., focused on modern concepts in the IT and computer world, such as Machine learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Analytics. They discussed the introduction of these technologies and how industries are working in this field to give students a brief outlook and a model on which they should focus while studying these technologies. 

They emphasized how these game-changing technologies are transforming the world around us, with businesses leveraging them to improve performance and productivity. They also highlighted the urgent need to address the skill shortage that continues to be the biggest challenge constraining AIadoption. The guest faculty encouraged the students to choose a career in these emerging technologies.

Prof. Rahul Gupta, Rector of Bhaderwah Campus, congratulated the department for organizing such educational sessions and boosted the morale of students. The session continued with a highly engaging and insightful question and answer session between the guest faculty and students. 

To conclude, Dr. Neeraj Kumar, Assistant Professor of the Department of Computer

Science & IT, presented a vote of thanks to the guest faculty in the presence of all staff members of the Department of Computer Science & IT.
