During the meeting, Saheer submitted a detailed proposal for setting up a BPO unit at Chithi Bandi, a step intended to generate local employment opportunities for unemployed and tribal youth in the district.
He also proposed the development of water sports facilities and a sports ground at Wullar Lake, which would not only boost local tourism but also provide healthy engagement avenues for young people.
Raising deep concerns about growing unemployment, drug abuse and lack of structured engagement opportunities, Rather stressed the urgent need for targeted interventions. “The youth are the future of the nation. It is our responsibility to guide and empower them through sustainable opportunities,” he remarked.
