DDC visits Atti to address alignment issues

RAJOURI, May 11:  District Development Commissioner (DDC) Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, today visited Atti to address the pressing alignment issues related to the Rajouri-Thanamandi-Surankote road.

The DDC was accompanied by DDC Member Rajouri, Sain Abdul Rashid; SDM Thanamandi, Vikas Dhar; Assistant Commissioner Defence, Saleem Qureshi; Tehsildar Thanamandi, Sahil Shah and concerned officers from BRO.

During the visit, the DDC interacted with the public and listened to their concerns. He assured them that their genuine issues would be resolved and directed the concerned officers to take appropriate measures. Additionally, he appealed to the public to amicably resolve any issues that would impede the completion of the vital project.

He said that the road is a crucial project of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) that connects the border district of Rajouri to the Mughal road. The widening of the existing road will significantly reduce traffic congestion and journey time, and will also play a major role in boosting the local economy of the area, he said.

“The district administration is committed to complete the prestigious Rajouri-Thanamandi-Surankote road project at the earliest,” he said and sought the cooperation of the public.

The DDC also took stock of the progress on the road and directed the concerned departments to expedite the completion where work has been started, while maintaining quality standards.

The DDC directed the SDM Thanamandi, AC Defence and tehsildar concerned to get the issues resolved at the earliest.
