DDC reviews implementation of Poshan schemes in Reasi District

REASI, MAY 24: District Development Commissioner Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan, convened a meeting to review the functioning of the Poshan Department in the district. The meeting focused on evaluating the implementation of schemes and activities aimed at enhancing the nutritional quality at all Anganwadi centers.


District Programme Officer, Poshan Mohammad Anwar Banday, provided a detailed insight into the ongoing schemes and initiatives. A significant emphasis was placed on improving the nutritional standards at Anganwadi centers to better serve the children.


The DDC directed all supervisors to visit their respective Anganwadi centers before May 30. He instructed them to display boards outside all centers. From June 1, all centers will be monitored online. Additionally, officers were tasked with creating a comprehensive database of all students attending these centers.
Emphasising the importance of regular inspection of all centers , he urged for the expansion of diet plans across the district to address nutritional deficiencies effectively.
He also reviewed the implementation of various central and J&K- Government Schemes. The officers were asked to work with dedication as they are shouldering an important responsibility to take care of children, who are the future of the nation.
