DDC Reasi reviews functioning of Kissan Khidmat Ghars
REASI, MAY 15: District Development Commissioner Reasi, Nidhi Malik chaired a detailed review meeting to assess the functioning of Kissan Khidmat Ghars (KKGs) in the district to enhance service delivery and ensure that farmers receive comprehensive support through these centers.
During the meeting, DDC Nidhi Malik directed officials to provide a detailed list of all services offered by KKGs to ensure transparency and better awareness among farmers. She emphasized the importance of clearly displaying available schemes, inputs, and technical advisories at each center.
DDC Reasi directed the officials to ensure that Krishi Udyamis are provided with seed and fertilizer licenses, enabling them to sell agricultural inputs and enhance their livelihoods. She further emphasized the need to explore the potential of integrating these Krishi Udyamis into the delivery of other farmer-centric services and schemes. By involving them more actively, the administration aims to strengthen outreach efforts, improve awareness at the grassroots level, and increase the number of applications for various government initiatives—thereby ensuring that more farmers benefit from the available schemes and resources.
She instructed the concerned departments to organize a training program for all 75 Krishi Udyami to enhance their skills and ensure better implementation of the schemes at the grassroots level.
She also called for increased coordination among agriculture and allied departments to make the KKGs fully functional as single-window service centers for the farming community. Officials were urged to conduct regular outreach and ensure that all government schemes reach beneficiaries efficiently.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Sukhdev Singh Samyal, CPO Narinder Kumar, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer and other concerned officers were present.
