DDC Rajouri reviews progress of work on border bunkers and PMAY-G Houses

RAJOURI, May 04: The District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers here to review the progress of border bunkers being constructed by the PWD and RDD and PMAY-G.

Reviewing the progress achieved by RDD, the meeting was informed that against the target of constructing 1892 bunkers, the work on 1528 bunkers is complete in all respects. Similarly, while reviewing the progress by the PWD sector, it was informed that out of 1274 bunkers, the work on 1265 bunkers is complete.

The DDC directed for speedy tendering and allotment of remaining works so that the work on bunkers can be completed at the earliest to provide necessary benefits to the border residents.

The DDC also instructed the officers to put in all possible efforts to ensure that the set targets are achieved well in time.

Stress was also laid on maintaining quality while executing work on the bunkers and the DDC made it clear that no laxity shall be tolerated in this regard.

The DDC also reviewed the progress regarding the construction of houses under PMAY-G and AWAS plus. He was informed that the work on 27641 houses out of the targeted 41492 houses has been completed in the district. He asked the concerned officer to make sure that the work on remaining houses is completed at the earliest.
