DDC Doda inaugurates Space, STEM Labs at GHSS Chilly- Bhallessa

Announces well-equipped Library for the school

DODA, MAY 20: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Harvinder Singh today visited Chilly Bhallessa (Doda) and inaugurated the newly established Space Lab and STEM Lab at Government Higher Secondary School (HSS) Chilly. The inauguration was held in the presence of Chief Education Officer Mohammad Hafiz, and Principal of the school Shafiqa Banoo.


The DDC assessed the functioning of both labs and interacted with the students. A series of engaging events, including a debate competition and cultural performances, were presented by the students, showcasing their talents and enthusiasm.


While addressing the gathering, the DDC emphasized the transformative power of education in shaping individual lives and building a stronger society. He highlighted the significance of establishing modern educational infrastructure, such as the Space and STEM Labs, in remote areas like Bhallessa to bridge the gap in access to quality education.


The DDC also announced that a well-equipped functional library will soon be established in the school, stocked with quality books to encourage reading habits among students. He urged students to cultivate the habit of reading to strengthen their cognitive abilities and become informed, responsible citizens.


Additionally, the DDC Doda informed that one-month extra academic classes are conducted for students in the district who underperformed in the recent examinations. This initiative aims to support students in overcoming academic challenges and ensure that no learner is left behind.
