DC Udhampur holds Weekly Block Diwas at Khourgali

 UDHAMPUR, October 18: Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai today presided over the weekly Block Diwas program at Khourgali in Udhampur district. During the event, numerous public issues and demands were discussed.

BDC Chairman Bimla Devi, DDC Councillor Jasvir Singh, ADDC Ghan Shyam Singh, ACD Dr. Ranjeet Singh Kotwal, BDO Amit Kumar, along with Sarpanches, Panches, and locals from nearby panchayats attended the Block Diwas program.

Various demands and issues were raised during the event, including the widening and dilapidated condition of the road from Kaith gali to Khourgali, establishment of a forest guest house, installation of a mobile tower, unscheduled power cuts, shortage of electric poles, construction of a play field, electrification of un-electrified houses, reconstruction of government Primary and Middle school building at Panjar, establishment of Niabat at Ladda, staff shortages in schools, construction of link roads, an increase in MGNREGA wages, maintenance of the irrigation canal, establishment of a PHC and Veterinary center in the area, and black-topping of various circular roads, among others.

The Deputy Commissioner took note of all the public demands and assured that their issues would be addressed in a timely manner. She directed the officers to work with dedication to ensure that the people in the area receive the services they deserve. She highlighted how these outreach camps bring governance to the doorstep of the public, improving the delivery of public services.

The DC encouraged participation in the Swachhta 3.0 campaign launched by the Government and urged PRI members and the public to join hands with the District Administration.
