DC Udhampur holds public grievances redressal camp at Block Majalta

UDHAMPUR, MAY 31: Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Sachin Kumar Vaishya today visited block Majalta and listened to public issues and demands at a public outreach programme held at Kesar Resort under the weekly Block Diwas Program.

BDC Chairman, DDC Councillor and District Officers of various departments, besides  PRIs members  participated in the outreach camp.

    BDC, Dina Nath, DDC Majalta, Amit Sharma , Sarpanches, Panches and the general public of the area projected several demands and problems  being faced by them. They sought  effective implementation of  JJM, establishment of Dispensary, new electric poles, steps to ease traffic congestion  at Battal and Mansar Morh, blacktopping of roads, restoration of damaged street lights, release of pending payment under 14th FC, posting of Urdu Teacher in schools of the area, installation of transformer and Handpumps, filling up of vacant post in health and education department, organising awareness camps, construction of bridge over nallah at Majalta,  improvement of conditions of various PMGSY and PWD roads  etc.

Responding to the issues and demands  raised by PRI members as well as the general public of the area, the DC passed on-spot directions for redressal of their grievances. He asked the officers to take first hand appraisal of all the grievances of PRIs and redress on priority. 

The DC assured the general public that such public outreach camps would also be organized in near future to solve the genuine problems of the people at their door steps.  He directed all the officers of different departments to hold awareness camps in their respective areas to inform the general public about various government schemes so that they can avail maximum benefits of these schemes.
