Urges Farmers to register in baseline survey to get benefits under HADP

SAMBA, MAY 01: Deputy Commissioner Samba, Abhishek Sharma , today visited Gudwal-A panchayat  and to attend Kissan Sampark Abhiyan launched in the district to encourage the farmers to take benefit of schemes under Holistic Agriculture Development Programme(HADP).

The programme aims to conduct a baseline survey of farmers to provide them personalized services and better support. The survey has already been conducted covering 24,000 farmers to gather data and provide personalized services based on their needs.

The programme focuses on increasing output, decreasing input, diversifying crops, and doubling the selling price. The farmers will be provided with advanced alerts on various issues such as rain alerts, crop insurance, disease pandemics, and more.

The programme includes training and orientation of farmers under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP). It offers over 121 courses, 700 learning sessions, video lectures, and other resources to empower farmers and agri-preneurs with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the agriculture sector. The resources are available in four languages, making it accessible to a broader audience.

The programme has received tremendous support from the local community, and many farmers, locals, and other stakeholders were present during the outreach under Kissan Sampark Abhiyan.

The Sarpanch of Gudwal A panchayat, Jasbir Singh present on the occasion, expressed gratitude for the launch of the programme, which is expected to benefit the farmers in the border belt region which have peculiar needs and issues.

In addition to the training and resources, the programme also includes SMS-based advisory services for farmers to provide real-time information on crop management, disease prevention, and other related issues. The programme aims to provide a comprehensive solution to the challenges faced by farmers in the region.

The DC informed that the innovative web portal, Daksh Kisan, is a key component of the programme, which offers a Learning Management System (LMS) that provides access to a range of resources, including videos and learning material in multiple languages. The platform is committed to empowering farmers and agri-preneurs by providing high-quality training and educational resources.
