DC reviews status of JJM schemes in Reasi, directs to scale up ongoing works

REASI, November 07: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Vishesh Paul Mahajan today chaired a meeting with officers and field functionaries of Jal Shakti Department to assess the latest status of works being carried out under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in the district.

The Deputy Commissioner reviewed block wise status of tendering/ allotment/ starting of works under different components.

Executive Engineer Jal Shakti Department provided an overview of the current progress of works under the Jal Jeevan Mission scheme in the district.

A detailed review of the work progress under the Jal Jeevan Mission was conducted, with the Deputy Commissioner urging all concerned officers to accelerate the pace of their efforts to meet the project’s objectives within the specified timeframe.

Additionally, the officers were tasked with regular monitoring to ensure the quality and timely completion of all allocated projects.  He underscored the importance of making every possible effort to achieve the goal of providing tap water to all households within the projected timeline.

While reviewing the implementation of JJM, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officials to expedite the tendering and evaluation processes and ensure allotment of works by the fixed deadlines. He also impressed upon the officers to maintain the highest level of transparency and accountability in the implementation process.
