DC reviews progress of Mission YUVA implementation in Udhampur
UDHAMPUR, MAY 31: To review the progress achieved in the implementation of Mission YUVA, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai chaired a meeting here in the Mini Conference Hall, DC Office Complex.
At the outset, Assistant Director, Employment, Priyanka Gupta delivered a detailed PowerPoint presentation, providing an overview of Mission YUVA, an initiative of the Jammu and Kashmir government focused on empowering youth and fostering entrepreneurship. The initiative, she said, is part of the government’s broader effort to create a thriving hub of enterprises and holistic employment in Jammu and Kashmir. The structure, role and responsibilities of the Small Business Development Units (SBDU) and Business Help Desks (BHDs) were also elaborated.
The DC took a detailed review of the progress and performance of the SBDUs and BHDs. She directed the concerned officers to expedite the implementation process, activate YUVA Doots and set clear targets for application submissions.
Stressing the importance of grassroots-level outreach, the DC instructed the concerned departments to organize awareness programmes and sensitize the public at the Panchayat level.
Emphasizing a proactive and mission-driven approach, she urged all stakeholders to work collectively to maximize youth enrollment under the Mission YUVA initiative.
