DC reviews Progress of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) Works in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, November 01:- Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai today conducted a comprehensive meeting with government officers  and contractors to assess the progress made under the prestigious Jal Jeevan Mission in the district.

Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Rafiq Ahmed Jaral, SE Jal Shakti, R K Mahajan, AEE and several contractors were present at the meeting.

At the onset, Executive Engineer Jal Shakti, Ashok Kumar Sharma, provided an update to the Deputy Commissioner regarding the financial and physical advancements made under the Jal Jeevan Mission in the district.

During the interaction with contractors responsible for executing JJM projects, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of completing all assigned tasks within specified timeframes.

Contractors were directed to mobilize manpower and machinery to expedite progress and meet the set deadlines. The District Project Management Unit (DPMU) was instructed to oversee ongoing JJM projects and conduct daily quality checks.

The Deputy Commissioner assured the contractors that all pending issues would be resolved within weeks and stressed the need for effective communication with Assistant Executive Engineers (AEEs) and Junior Engineers (JEs). She emphasized that all ongoing JJM projects must be completed within the designated timelines.
