DC Reasi finalizes arrangements for Eid-ul-Azha

REASI, JUNE 03: Deputy Commissioner Reasi Nidhi Malik chaired a review meeting today to finalise preparations for Eid-ul-Azha in the district.

The DC emphasised seamless inter-departmental coordination to ensure a safe, clean and hassle-free festival. She urged the concerned departments to ensure uninterrupted water and power supply, especially in areas where large congregational prayers are expected.
During the meeting, she directed the Chief Executive Officer Municipal Council to launch special sanitation drives around Mosques, Eidgahs and other public spaces and to ensure timely garbage disposal during the festival.
Stressing the importance of checking overpricing, sale of substandard food items, the DC urged the Food Civil Supplies &Consumer Affairs and Legal Metrology Departments to intensify market inspections. She appealed to the public to extend full cooperation to the authorities and celebrate the occasion in a spirit of peace, harmony and brotherhood.
The DC directed SDMs to convene similar review meetings in their respective jurisdictions to ensure local-level preparedness and coordination.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Sukhdev Singh Samyal; ACR Nitin Verma; Executive Engineer PDD, President and members of Masjid Development Committee Reasi, Sub-Divisional Magistrates and local members from religious organisations.
