DC Ramban campaigns for quality education, sanitation at Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra- Urban

RAMBAN, December 16: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, today spearheaded Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra – Urban unfolding a vibrant and pulsating awareness event here in Government Model Higher Secondary School.

The Mega event witnessed a fervent Pledge ceremony, where participants committed to the collective endeavor towards making Ramban and the country self-sufficient and self-reliant. With an emphasis on the saturation of centrally sponsored schemes, the District admin radiated a festive aura under the stewardship of the Deputy Commissioner.

Addressing the gathering, the DC underscored the imperativeness of prioritizing quality education for the youth, urging the parents to channel their efforts towards the educational uplift of their wards. The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra – Urban unfolded an array of services and benefits, showcasing the government’s commitment to the populace.

A huge number of citizens joined the yatra, which specifically focused on achieving the saturation of flagship government schemes. Deputy Commissioner Chaudhary, accompanied by dignitaries, meticulously inspected stalls representing various departments, including Poshan (ICDS) Horticulture, Labour and Employment, Jal Shakti, and more.

Recognizing education as a linchpin in societal transformation, the DC, he suggested putting up photographs of successful alumni in schools to motivate the students.

Cultural programs, a Kabaddi match, and a boxing match added a spirited dimension to the event, showcasing the diverse talent of the region. DC Ramban distributed keys and checks to beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) and facilitated the distribution of gas connections under Ujjwala Yojana.

The Health Department organized a Multi-specialty health camp, providing essential health services to locals. In collaboration with Poshan (ICDS), anemia checkups of women and children were also done.

The DC, in acknowledgment of their outstanding contribution, presented certificates of appreciation to teachers and students.

The day concluded with a Viksit Bharat Sankalp pledge, symbolizing a collective commitment to making India a developed and self-reliant nation by the year 2047. Deputy Commissioner Ramban was honored with a Memento by the CEO MC Ramban, marking the successful execution of this transformative event.

Officials, including ADC Harbans Lal; GM, DIC, Ravinder Anand; CEO, Dev Anand and others, contributed towards the success of the impactful event. District Nodal Officer I&B, Khursheed Yousuf, and representatives from government departments added their presence to the day-long event, reinforcing the collaborative spirit of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra – Urban.
