DC Rajouri reviews activities under Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan
RAJOURI, JUNE 21: Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma today chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress and strategize measures for effective implementation of the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJ-GUA) in the district.
Taking feedback on the department wise activities, the Deputy asked the functionaries to identify gaps in service delivery and bridge the same effectively through focused planning and close coordination.
Noting that Rajouri district has the highest number of tribal panchayats in Jammu & Kashmir, the DC directed departments to adopt a proactive and mission-mode approach for the success of the campaign. He asked the functionaries of the line departments to ensure their active participation in the initiative and by remaining present on the ground during the scheduled camps.
To ensure transparency and accountability, the Deputy Commissioner deputed senior officers for ground-level verification. The officers were asked to personally visit the tribal panchayats to monitor and validate the quality of services being extended under the campaign.
The meeting was attended by CPO, Maqsood Ahmed, ACP Sheraz Chouhan, Deputy Director Employment Mohammad Nawaz, ACD, Auqil Naveed, Chief Education Officer, Executive Engineers and other district and sectoral officers.
