DC Rajouri assesses damages in shelling affected Gonni village

RAJOURI, MAY 18: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma today visited Gonni village in the Dhangri area to assess the damages caused due to recent incidents of cross-border shelling. He was accompanied by Revenue Officers and other concerned officials.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner took stock of the losses suffered by the residents and issued on-the-spot directions to the Revenue Department to expedite assessment of damages to property, livestock, and crops.
DC Abhishek Sharma also interacted with the affected families and other members of the general public at their doorsteps. He patiently listened to their concerns and assured them of swift redressal of genuine grievances. He emphasized that the district administration stands firmly with the affected families and is committed to ensuring timely relief and rehabilitation.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the officers to maintain close coordination with the locals and ensure that all necessary support is extended to the affected households without any delay.
